The trip

itineraire_lzn.jpg

To choose a route is not so easy, and I read a lot of stories written by bike travellers who went on a project and finally did one-third.
I do not think my itinerary as something stopped, but only a hope and as a guideline.

The idea of my trip is to keep being free and not to set myself limits. The absence of temporal goals (few constraints on my return date) give me the chance to change my itinerary or to stay in places that i would like.

For now, this will be the outline of a trip across Europe, Asia and the Maghreb: France> Germany> Poland> BALTIC> WEST OF RUSSIA> CAUCASUS> MIDDLE EAST> India> HIMALAYA> SOUTH-EAST OF CHINA > Japan> eastern Russia> Middle East> MAGHREB> SPAIN> FRANCE

Among other options, I’m keeping in a poket the Indo-Chinese peninsula, the Horn of Africa, the sub-equatorial Africa, South America, North America (roughly, the rest of the world …) .

Edit to 2008/06/21 : I decided to take a longer way to go to Russia in traveling first in Ireland, UK, Norway and Finland.

Edit to 2008/09/24 : I wrote that my journey would lead me in the Caucasus, but I change my mind for several reasons. The first is that, even before recent events, the roads between Russia and Georgia were closed to foreigners. The second is, of course, the current situation in the Caucasus. Besides the visa problems. I leads to a crossing from West to East of Russia.
